He won a scholarship for the Theatre department of Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts in 1994. In 1998 he graduated from this school as a high honor student. His first professional acting experience was in 1998, in Ariel Doffman's play "Widows" directed by Rutkay Aziz in Ankara Art Theater. During 1999 - 2000 season, he worked in Diyarbakir State Theater.
