John McConnell has done lots of films, stand up comedy and other stuff. "Spud" was born in Gonzales, Louisiana.The typical middle child, he spent his youth trying to get somebody/anybody to notice him. When, after graduating high school, his dad wouldn't sign permission for his minor son to join the Air Force - instead insisting that he go to college - Spud chose Theatre as his major just to piss off the old man.
