Bill Marchant was born William Geoffrey Marchant in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on March 17, 1964 to Ruth and Murray Marchant. By the age of ten, Bill and his family had settled in Georgetown, Ontario, where his acting career began at the age of 14. At 18, he attended the drama program at the University of Guelph.
