Kali Reis
Kali Reisย (born August 24, 1986) is an Americanย professional boxerย and actress. She is a former world champion in twoย weight classes, having held theย WBCย femaleย middleweightย title in 2016 and theย WBA,ย WBO, andย IBOย femaleย light welterweightย titles between 2020 and 2022. She also challengedย Cecilia Brรฆkhusย for theย undisputedย femaleย welterweightย title in 2018.
In 2021, Reis made her acting debut as the star of the American thriller filmย Catch the Fair One. For her performance as a boxer endeavouring to rescue her missing sister, she was nominated for theย Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead.ย She has since starred in the mystery seriesย True Detective: Night Countryย (2024), for which she received nominations for aย Primetime Emmy Award, aย Golden Globe Award, and aย Critics’ Choice Award.
