Corey Antonio Hawkinsย (born October 22, 1988) is an American actor. He rose to prominence for his role in the TV seriesย The Walking Deadย (2015โ2016) and his portrayal ofย Dr. Dreย in the 2015 filmย Straight Outta Compton, the latter of which earned him aย Screen Actors Guild Awardย nomination. He’s also known for his performances onย Broadway, starring inย Six Degrees of Separationย (2017) andย Topdog/Underdogย (2022), which earned him nominations for theย Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play.
