Lee Smith,ย ACE (born June 10, 1960), is an Australianย film editorย who has worked in the film industry since the 1980s. He began his film career as a sound editor before establishing himself as an editor. His breakthrough came when he began collaborating with directorย Peter Weir. Smith is best known for his work on several ofย Christopher Nolan’s films, includingย Batman Begins (2005),ย The Prestigeย (2006),ย The Dark Knightย (2008),ย Inceptionย (2010),ย The Dark Knight Rises (2012),ย Interstellarย (2014) andย Dunkirkย (2017), for which he won theย Academy Award for Best Film Editing.
